I'm Silja, your content marketing troll and today it's all about the question: What do I have to consider when building a website? This is a very exciting question because it is a question that comes very, very early in the process. That is, before you have even created a website. The structure of a website actually follows fairly clear conventions and the top priority for a website is that the user can use it intuitively. That is, without thinking. This is very important. This means that he has to find his way around the website without any further question marks appearing.
To paraphrase Steve Krug: Don't make me think. That means don't let the user Special Data get to the point where he has to ponder. And such a structure / This means that elements of a website are basically always relatively the same. Of course there are a few deviations here and there, some people do things a little differently, but there are still three basic elements. And on the one hand these are the header, which is the area that comes at the top. Therefore Head – head area. Then the body of the page, which is also called body, or content, or corpus. There are very different names.

So, like the bottom area of the website. Then let’s take a look at which elements belong where. The logo is usually placed in the header, ideally because it follows conventions - and we love conventions - top left. There are also websites where the logo is in the middle. That's fine, but please refrain from putting the logo to the right. This actually confuses the user because they usually just find it on the left side of the page.
